Parish life

A Reminder of Lenten Practice: During the Season of Lent, the Church calls the faithful to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of both fasting and abstinence, while all Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence from meat. Fasting consists of one full meal with two smaller meals that together do not equal a full meal and is required of Catholics between the ages of 18 and 59, while abstinence from meat is required of Catholics age 14 and older.

Mass Intentions and Spiritual Gifts of Prayer and Remembrance

Offering a spiritual gift is a beautiful way pray for both the living and the deceased —- to remember a loved one, give thanks for blessings received, or seek God’s help in times of need.

Please visit the parish office for any of the suggested offerings:

The Saint James Memorial Society

The Saint James Memorial Society is a meaningful act of faith, offering parishioners a way to express love and devotion by uniting their loved ones’ names with the prayers of the Church. Through this enrollment, those remembered are continually lifted before the Lord in the Sacred Liturgy and held in the ongoing prayers of our parish community.

Enrollment in the Society is for one full year, with an annual membership offering of $40. During that year, all enrolled members are prayerfully remembered at the 8:30 AM Mass on the first Monday of each month.

The current list of members of the Saint James Memorial Society can be found in the embedded PDF below.

To enroll a loved one in the Saint James Memorial Society, please call the parish office. Thank you.
